About the Artist
Michael Pritchett, former Dallas-based artist began his art career after graduating from the Art Institute of Dallas with a degree in Visual Communication. His first position was working as a designer for a fashion-forward western apparel manufacturing company.
After over 15 years of working as a clothing designer and graphic artist, Michael’s enduring passion for art led him to a senior framing position at a nationally based art supply retailer. This position sharpened his understanding and appreciation for visual presentation. The job description included heirloom and archival preservation as well as custom framing.
A random visit to the Central Texas art colony of Salado led Michael to eventually open the Sirril Art Gallery featuring all his unique and original works for sale along with a selection of artwork by other talented artists from the Central Texas area.
Although Michael’s gallery is located in a century-old building he, and the artists he represents works in the most avant-garde of styles. Michael feels that art should be an expression of an experience; and good art will communicate this to the viewer. His works include his own unique style of three-dimensional illustrations, as well as, the more traditional acrylic, oil, pastel, and graphite mediums.
A visit to Michael’s Sirril Art Gallery will inspire, surprise, and challenge the visitor.
